Julia Horne is an English and Psychology double major at Williams College. She aims to explore how psychology can shed light on how we as people relate to one another, and to discover the ways in which these connections can be fostered and strengthened to affect positive societal change. She is also interested in applying her understanding of social and consumer psychology to the world of advertising and social media marketing, which she views as a site for creative problem-solving and connecting with a target audience. Julia has long been drawn to artistic endeavors, from music and painting to fiction writing. At Williams, she sings in an a cappella group called Williams Good Question. As a leader of the Exploring the Arts orientation program freshman summer, she helped introduce a group of incoming freshmen to the arts scene on campus and in the surrounding Berkshire area. Julia enjoys using her creative bent to make a difference in the lives of others. She likes indie music and experimenting with new art mediums, as well as soccer, tea, and spending time with friends.
