Amy is an education experience designer with nearly twenty years working in the higher education sector. She has lived and worked on four continents and currently splits her time between the United States and Brazil. An avid interculturalist, Amy thrives in environments that allow her to bring together diverse learners from a broad range of backgrounds and cultures. She believes truly transformative learning happens when we push our boundaries of comfort in tandem with intentional reflection.
Amy spent fourteen years directing global learning experiences for students through the Dickey Center for International Understanding at Dartmouth College. She also spent seven years serving as the Academic Director of the Young African Leaders Initiative at Dartmouth, an Obama White House initiative that allowed her to design and coordinate a leadership exchange program with entrepreneurs from 38 countries across sub-Saharan Africa.
Amy is the co-founder and managing partner of Compacity Partners, LLC an education consulting firm based in Hartford, Vermont. She holds a B.F.A. (ceramics and sculpture) and an M.S. Interdisciplinary Studies. When she isn’t designing or facilitating learning experiences, Amy enjoys spending time with her teenage son as well as hiking, yoga, baking and travelling.
